Psychiatry
Psychiatrists work with people who are having problems with:
- their thoughts and feelings and how their mind and body works together.
- The health of their brain and how it affects their health and well-being.
A Psychiatrist will:
- find out as much as possible about the problems the person is having by talking to them, talking to other people and reading their notes.
The Psychiatrist may:
- give medication or look at what medication is already being taken.
- Ask the person to see someone else who will help them.
- See the person again.
- Arrange for the person to be in a safer place such as a hospital if they need it.
